Teeth Whitening

  • Do not smoke.
  • Do not consume highly colored food (turmeric, artificial food colors), hot or cold beverages for at least 2 days.
  • Tooth sensitivity and gum irritation are common side effects of teeth whitening treatment. The sensitivity usually disappears within 24 hours of an in-office teeth whitening treatment.
  • Touch ups are usually needed to maintain your desired shade, depending upon habits such as smoking, drinking coffee and tea and eating certain foods which will stain your teeth.
  • Delay any esthetic restorations for 2 to 4 weeks after treatment.
  • Your teeth may feel dehydrated immediately after your sitting. Drink multiple sips of water at regular interval.
